Website to check out

Thanks to a friend I found an awesome website from Living Scriptures. They have hundreds of activities and lessons to download to help with Scouts, Family Home Evening, Sunday School, and more.

They even have recipes for goodies for your FHE. This one is Stripling Warrior Gingerbread Boys.

Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the molasses, brown sugar, water and butter until smooth.
  2. Combine the flour, baking soda, allspice, ginger, cloves and cinnamon, stir them into the wet mixture until all of the dry is absorbed.
  3. Cover the dough and chill for at least 2 hours.

  5. Roll the dough out to 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Cut out with a gingerbread boy cutter.
  7. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
  9. Remove from the cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
The lesson that goes with it is “Be a Latter-day Warrior”
